This image makes it look as though there is a hole in the ground in which the people are falling.. into another world? it makes it interesting, the bottom doesn't have to be just like a well, it could be a bottomless pitt or to another realm. Aswell as that, it is painted in the 3d world to be seeming like a real image, as though people could really fall into it, which really intrigues me about this picture.
