Overall Idea-2d to 3d

My concept being a 2d image becoming 3d as the transformation of the for as well as the hidden images within the painting. The overall idea will be first a main picture that will be 3d aswell as within that image there will be hidden images that you would not expect it to have and then it will range in mediums. First it will be in pencil then colour pencil then in gouche and then finally acrylic paint, which from there the image will come alive and become braches as the branches come from the image in the painting of a forest with monkeys and the monkeys will come alive aswell made of soume mouldable material, the branches made of maybe wire and masking tape. The physical branches will then be wraping around trees made of balsa wood or hard cardboard or sum material like that, held on top of shelves made of perspects.and the monkeys will be upon it aswell. The idea of illusionary pattern is shown in the hidden images in the painting and the transformation that surprises is the idea of a painting though 3d, to give it more interest, makes the image come alive.

tree sketch

The Trees on the shelves that I wish to make physically will be made by two pieces of 2d material joined together to make it look 3d, as shown on the picture.

2d to 3d part 2

A more refined sketch of my idea. Where the painting, I decided, will have a 3d effect on it, so from far away it will look 3d but from a closer look it will be 3d, some images closer and others further away giving an interest to it. I was thinking to put a curtain over the little models of the trees that the branches soon latch onto, but decided against it as I think it is unnecessary.

2d to 3d idea

My idea, using the mixture of both illusionary patterns and transformation. I decided to do a drawing/painting which seems to come alive as it gradually becomes a physical model rather than just a painting. Deciding on a forest type painting with all sorts of different animals and changing from pencil to coloured pencil to gouche and then to acrylic paintsfrom which the branches will soon turn 3d with the help of wire and the monkeys upon the tree shall be on the physical tree as well, and then the wire tree will then connect to a tree made of maybe perspects? that will be held by shelves of perspects, but from first glance it will be covered by a curtain which will have another picture of a forest

sketches- illusionary patterns and forms

These are a few of the sketches I drew to portray my idea. The first is not part of my idea but was me experimenting a technique that Escher has used, making a pattern, fitting into each other perfectly that looks like something, making an illusionary pattern. The second however is a rough sketch of what I wish to do. two seperate picture frames with the same scenery and same type of image, but as it is of some type of forest the branches would come out and monkeys would come out of the picture and seem to go into each picture as the picture (abstract world) and the physical world collide. Using illusionary pattern and form
The bottom picture is an unfinished picture of what one of the pictures in the frames would look like.

Abstract conceptualisation

My idea for this assignment was first to use the artist models M. C. Escher and Banksy as those where the two artists that impressed me most. Deciding to base my ideas around the abstract idea, and painting instead using digital and physical models to display my ideas in this assignment. I really want to use the idea of M. C Escher with his morphing of images in a large piece relating to each other and maybe use the idea of Banksy with making things more surprising and 3d-like even though it may be 2d, as well as bringing in the idea of M. C. Escher's work of the piece of artwork named "Reptiles", where in the image, a image of a reptile on a piece of paper comes to life and later returns to the paper. What interests me most is the mixture of different images joined together so it flows very nicely as well as the mixture of the real and the unreal and impossible.
